Nicole Gorder is the Executive Director of Revenue Integrity and CDM at MultiCare Health System. MultiCare is a Tacoma, Washington-based healthcare system comprised of 11 hospitals and more than 250 clinics. In her role, Nicole is accountable for providing governance structure and oversight to the system’s charge capture processes, policies, and adherence. Her department also has responsibility for the integrity of MultiCare’s charge codes and prices. In her 6 years at MultiCare, she has successfully overseen the acquisition and integration of four hospitals, hundreds of clinics, and several partnerships and joint ventures to ensure all chargemaster information, and resulting revenue, is appropriate and compliant.
Nicole has an undergraduate degree in business with an accounting concentration and an MBA with specialization in healthcare, both from the University of Washington. Her early career experience in accounting and finance partners well with her desire to continually strive for complete, accurate, and timely charge capture practices. As a patient and consumer, she also wants to provide highly reliable service, inclusive of billing practices, to all MultiCare’s past, current, and future patients.
With MultiCare’s significant growth in recent years, coupled with the industry’s changing reimbursement structure, Nicole is passionate about ensuring the organization has strong internal processes and procedures in place to secure owed revenue. With three years of experience as an EHR implementation and optimization consultant, she is further inspired to find best-practice system solutions for identified gross and net revenue opportunities. Nicole is a Pacific Northwest native who is excited by her upcoming relocation Tucson, Arizona, with her husband and two daughters.
