Dr. Maggie Bennington-Davis is Chief Medical Officer for Health Share of Oregon, a Coordinated Care Organization (CCO). Health Share coordinates physical, dental, mental health, and substance abuse treatment benefits for more than 320,000 Medicaid-enrolled Oregonians in the most densely populated part of the state. Oregon is in the midst of massive healthcare transformation, seeking more effective and efficient ways to engage, provide services to, and promote the health of Medicaid members. Health Share has focused on behavioral health and early life health as key drivers in this effort.
Maggie moved to Health Share from her position as Chief Medical and Operating Officer at Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare, Oregon’s largest mental health and addictions provider. Prior to Cascadia, Maggie served as Psychiatry Medical Director for a regional medical center (Salem Hospital), as well as hospital-wide Chief of Staff. Maggie co-authored a book, published articles and chapters, and has done numerous consultations and presentations nationally and internationally regarding organizational change, trauma-informed engaging environments, and leadership.
Maggie completed her MD and psychiatry residency at Oregon Health Sciences University where she remains on faculty, and a Masters of Medical Management degree at Tulane University School of Public Health in 2005.
