Kevin Sears

Executive Director, Market & Network Services, Cleveland Clinic

Kevin B. Sears currently serves as the Executive Director of Market and Network Services for the Cleveland Clinic. In this capacity, he is responsible for all relationships with payers and employers domestically and abroad. He also oversees the Cleveland Clinic’s insurance offerings. In addition, Mr. Sears serves in other key leadership roles within the Cleveland Clinic and affiliated entities including board membership of the Midwest Health Collaborative, the Quality Alliance and the Clinic’s accountable care organization.

Mr. Sears is regarded as one of the industry’s leaders in healthcare reform and payment transformation and his perspectives appear with frequency in national publications and industry journals. Kevin serves on national advisory boards for Anthem, Cigna, McKesson and United Health Group. He also sits on the National Business Group on Health’s Executive Committee for Value Based Payment and is a member of the Health Care Transformation Task Force. Mr. Sears has authored articles on a variety of health care topics and has appeared on television, radio and as a guest speaker at numerous national and international health care forums.

Prior to joining the Cleveland Clinic, Mr. Sears has held several senior positions in both the public and private sectors. These positions include Senior Vice President of Payer Strategy and Product Development at Trinity Health, Senior Advisor to the Director of CMS’s Innovation Center and Vice President of Network Management for Coventry Health Care.

Mr. Sears began his career at Intermountain Health Care after receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy from Brigham Young University and a Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration from The Ohio State University. Kevin and his wife Gail are the parents of five children and reside in Brecksville, Ohio with their youngest son, Andrew.
