Joseph M. Taylor, CEBS, RHU, HIA

Joe is the Senior Vice President and leads the Payor and Value Based contracting team for Redeemer Health which includes all the national and regional payors as well as eight (8) Value Based / Risk contracts with Commercial Payors, Medicare Advantage and CMS.  The contracts include hospital, physician, ACS, home health, hospice, urgent care, cancer center and eight value-based and risk contracts and over $5.2B in total value.  

Joe also leads the Business Intelligence (BI) efforts for Redeemer Health.  In this role Joe developed and implemented the data strategy, warehouse, dashboards, reporting packages which supports Health System quality, value, financial and A/R reporting. In addition, the BI team provides meaningful clinical, quality and efficiency insights through dashboards and the population health tool for the 460 physicians and 145 PCPs that are part of the physician networks.   

Joe is a key leader of the Innovative Wellness Alliance (IWA) clinically integrated network of 90+ mostly independent PCPs.  Through its contracts the IWA produced over $90M of value to the network and $250M in overall value and $4.1M in reserves while consistently performing at the highest stars and GPRO quality levels. In 2020, the IWA earned the IBC “Quality Cup”.   

Joe is also the Executive Director of the Community Care Collaborative of PA & NJ LLC (CCC) a 30,000 beneficiary Enhance track CMS ACO which is jointly owned by Redeemer Health and Doylestown Hospital.   Since inception in 2017, the CCC has generate over $60M in total shared savings and nearly $25M in value-based payments while performing consistently performing in the 90th percentile nationally for MSSP ACOs in terms of both quality and shared savings % earned.

Prior to joining Redeemer Health, Joe was the ACO Practice leader for Fluid Edge Consulting and was also a senior leader at the nation’s largest non-investor-owned health plan where he developed and implemented the future healthcare management vision and strategy.  Joe lead Health Care Management, HIT, Pharmacy, HIE’s, the “Virtual Medical Community”, the Integrated Total Health Care Management (ITHM) programs and designed and implemented the “Opportunity Score” risk stratification methodology.  Joe is a frequent speaker on National Healthcare issues including ACO’s, HIT and population analytics.  Joe has written many health care related articles, is often quoted in the media and is former instructor at Southern Methodist University.
