Dr. Lang is a Professor and Associate Chief of anesthesiology & Pain Medicine at University of Washington. He is also the Clinical Director of Operative and Perioperative Operations at University of Washington Medical Center. His clinical expertise is in anesthesiology, surgical critical care medicine and operating room management.
Dr. Lang completed an Internal Medicine internship at the University of Wisconsin, followed by a residency in Internal Medicine and Anesthesiology. He subsequently completed a fellowship in critical care medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. He also completed an NIH-sponsored K30 clinical research training program.
He was previously a faculty member at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas and at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He also served as Chief of Anesthesiology at VA Puget Sound in Seattle. Dr. Lang is board certified in Internal Medicine, Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine.
Dr. Lang has national and international recognition having published over 50 peer reviewed manuscripts with his research federally funded through the NIH and American Heart Association. He also serves as a senior examiner for the American Board of Anesthesiology.
