Jill Hoggard Green, PhD, RN is Mission Health’s Chief Operating Officer and President of Mission Hospital. In addition to overseeing operations throughout Mission Health System, she also has overall clinical and operational responsibility for Mission Hospital. Dr. Hoggard Green’s career has focused on creating innovative regional networks of care to serve both urban and rural communities with a focus on improving quality, safety, patient experience and population health. Dr. Hoggard Green was named as one of the 130 Women Hospital and Health System Leaders to Know in 2016 and in 2017 by Becker’s Hospital Review.
Prior to joining Mission Health, Dr. Hoggard Green served as a regional chief operating officer for PeaceHealth, a system that includes nine hospitals in Alaska, Washington and Oregon. At PeaceHealth, she was responsible for the Oregon Region, which included three hospitals, ambulatory and home health services, a 200-member medical group practice, and related health services.
Before joining PeaceHealth, Dr. Hoggard Green served in a variety of leadership roles at Intermountain Healthcare in Salt Lake City, Utah, one of the nation’s leading not-for-profit health systems. While at Intermountain, she spent eight years as the chief operating officer for various hospitals in that system.
Dr. Hoggard Green is a registered nurse, and began her career in the oncology and bone marrow transplant units at LDS Hospital, one of the hospitals in the Intermountain Healthcare system. She later held management positions at LDS Hospital in patient care management and quality improvement.
Hoggard Green earned both her Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Healthcare Leadership and Quality from the University of Utah, College of Nursing. Her husband, David, is also an RN, and they have two grown sons.
