Dr. Rusin is an Assistant Professor in the department of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine and is affiliated with Texas Children’s Hospital. He also holds an adjunct faculty position in the department of Computational and Applied Mathematics at Rice University and is CTO of Medical Informatics Corp. Dr. Rusin received his PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Virginia with a focus on nonlinear and complex dynamical systems. He has over 30 peer reviewed publications in the fields of cardiology, critical care medicine, applied mathematics and physics, predictive clinical analytics as well as novel medical monitoring technologies. He has spoken at CES, TEDx Houston and was selected as one of the TEDMED innovators in 2015. His work has been supported by the American Heart Association, the Pediatric Heart Network, the Children’s Heart Foundation, and the National Institute of Health.
