Ashley is Vice President of Socially Determined, a Washington, DC-based Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) analytics firm. She leads the company’s client delivery team, focused on improving the health of communities and the performance of health care organizations nationwide. Specifically, she leads a multidisciplinary team that uses an analytics-driven approach to effectively mitigate the impact of SDOH risks on health care utilization, cost, and outcomes, driving population health improvement and optimizing performance in value-based programs.
She is a public health practitioner and researcher by training and an experienced management consultant. Her career has bridged public health and health system strategy, with a focus on mining data to uncover actionable insights that drive system transformation. Prior to joining Socially Determined, Ashley was a Vice President in Kaufman Hall’s Strategic Planning practice and a Director in thePremierHealthcare Alliance’s Population Health consulting team, providing advisory services, implementation support, and thought leadership on value-based care delivery and payment models to health systems and health plans nationwide.Earlier in her career, she led research and programmatic initiatives for organizations ranging from an academic research center to a network of federally qualified health centers and the country’s largest local health department.
Ashley has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Health Policy from Duke University and a Master’s degree in Public Health from Columbia University. She is a Certified Public Health professional,an active member of the American Public Health Association, and also serves on the National Board of Public Health Examiners.
