Adam Smith is the Vice President, Decision Support & Financial Planning for Froedtert Health. Froedtert Health combines with the Medical College of Wisconsin to form eastern Wisconsin’s only academic medical center and associated regional health care network. The network’s flagship hospital, Froedtert Hospital, is the primary adult teaching affiliate of the Medical College of Wisconsin. The health care network includes five hospitals, a community-based medical group and more than 40 clinics and health centers. The network’s hospitals account for just under 53,000 admissions and over 1.3 million outpatient visits. Adam has responsibility for financial planning (long-range, operating and capital), strategic finance, financial analytics, cost accounting, and corporate and acute site finance. He also is part of the administrative team for the F&MCW Clinically Integrated Network.
Prior to joining Froedtert Health in 2018, Adam served in several leadership roles at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin: Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis; Administrator, Department of Dermatology/Director of Strategic Operations for Medical College Physicians; Manager, Strategic Financial Planning. Adam has a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Administration from UW-Milwaukee, and a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of St. Francis in Joliet, IL. He is actively involved in Healthcare Financial Management Association.
