Filling out the Pre-Summit survey in your HAS application will allow us to give you insight about attendees based on correlations between the survey and your poll answers. An example might be a discovery of different perceptions by those with similar titles but different geographies. Completing the survey is required before you can interact with the application.
This is a nerd’s take on a popularity contest. Using the power of the HAS 18 app, submit your questions to the presenter, then vote for your favorites. Only the most popular questions will be addressed. Even Steve Urkel could win this one.
“Dine on Us” starts Wednesday, September 12th at 7:00 PM and allows attendees to dine at a Salt Lake City restaurant of their choice with a $75 Visa gift card. This gift card will be provided with your registration materials when you arrive at HAS.
It starts Wednesday, September 12th at 9:00 PM and includes many “beach” games including human bowling pins, beach oriented music, beach oriented entertainment and acts, beach photo scenes, and lots of beach oriented food. Come join us for a fun time.
The HAS 2018 runs and walks (lead by HAS pacers) will take place on Wednesday evening, September 12 (6:00 PM) and Thursday morning, September 13 (6AM). They will be in the same location as last year.
- Wednesday’s Run/Walk: this clock-timed run features a challenging but beautiful 5k (3.1 miles) and 10k (6.2 miles) up Memory Grove and City Creek Canyon (buses will transport runners and walkers from the Grand America bus lot to the base of Memory Grove). Walkers will do the 5k route.
In addition, we will sponsor a group shopping tour to downtown Salt Lake’s shopping area. It’s just a simple hop on public transportation outside of the Grand and Little America.
- Thursday’s Run/Walk: this 5-mile run (or 3-mile walk) goes from the Grand America lobby to historic, tree-lined Liberty Park.
Within the HAS 18 app, you will have a few different ways to accumulate points including participating in the Analytics Walkabout, posting photos on the photo wall, answering polls, submitting your questions and exchanging contact information with others, to name a few. For those fierce competitors out there, a leaderboard will show attendee point totals. You will be able to win one of several very cool prizes.
We will have content specifically for Health Catalyst clients on September 10 and 11 during our pre-summit activities. We’ve expanded Health Catalyst University will include two different training sessions to choose from. Our Pre-Summit Health Catalyst User Group will include our product roadmap, and presentations on clinical and technical best practices from both Health Catalyst experts and client panels. We will also solicit feedback on what is working well and what we can improve. All Health Catalyst clients are invited.
We have two concurrent options for your pre-summit experience: the Health Catalyst User Group for clients, and Health Catalyst training for anyone.
This year’s Analytics Walkabout will again feature 24 different face-to-face case study stations staffed by health system front-line leaders who can explain in person about these improvement projects. This gives you an opportunity to meet and have up close and personal discussions about what worked and how it was accomplished. Dinner and dessert will be provided.
We will publish HAS 18 credits soon. However, HAS 18 is very similar to HAS 17. In HAS 17, MDs and DOs who attended, starting with the Analytics Walkabout , were eligible to receive 17.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits ™. For those MDs and DOS, who attended the pre-summit activities, total credits will amounted to a maximum of 25.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits ™. All other healthcare professionals received a certificate of attendance and allowing them to consult with their licensing board for information on applicability and acceptance of these credits.
Each attendee will receive a hard copy Record of Attendance (ROA) at registration to track their hours and keep for their own records. Instructions will be included in the ROA on how to access the CME website for evaluations and certificates. Only MDs and DOs will self-claim their credits, meaning they will use their ROA to track their hours and have it available (with total number of credits) when they log in to the post-conference tab.
All other attendees will log in to the same location but they will not self-claim; the number of credits on their Certificate of Attendance will default to the maximum number of credits available for the conference.
Last year’s HAS 17 summit was awarded 17 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits ™ and we expect a similar number to be approved this year.
All attendee records are maintained by the UT Health Science Center at San Antonio, Office of CME, for a maximum period of 6 years.

"This is the best conference I’ve ever been to in all my years in healthcare…and that’s over 20 years"
This is the best conference I’ve ever been to in all my years in healthcare…and that’s over 20 years
I can’t imagine a better summit. My brain is buzzing with all these new tools, resources, case studies, and innovative ideas and software. I’ll be back next year, and if next year is as good as this year, you’ll definitely have made a follower for life out of me.
This is by far the best conference I have attended. It was well planned and coordinated. Great job to the team for putting this amazing event together.
Same place, same time next year!! The best conference I’ve attended, fabulous job!
It definitely exceeded my expectations. A lot of conferences I go to, you take a lot information but it doesn’t have a practical application. This is completely different because I feel like I have a lot of information I’m excited about and can apply to my situation.
We talk about value -based care…this is a value-based conference. Considering what other conferences costs, the value I get out of this is tremendous.
